Book 2: Son Of Neptune
Percy wakes up not knowing anything but two things: his name and another person named Annabeth. He finds a camp with Roman demigods. It sparks a memory but doesn’t seem familiar. He quickly makes some friends and then the god mars comes and orders a quest for Percy and his friends Frank and Hazel. They will have to go to land beyond the gods to unleash the god of death and face down a big monster ready to eat them.
I like this book because it introduces you to the Roman gods and the roman legions. One of my favorite parts was when they were with the rainbow goddess and Frank had to defeat 3 fire breathing snakes… you should only read this if you have read the first book because it ties to it in the series. This is the second book of the five book series.
year. So their dad takes them to the Britain Museum, but it does not go as planned. Their dad wants to let out one of the Egyptian gods, the god of death so he can bring back his wife. He gets the god out but he also gets all of his brothers too, and one brother named Set wants to rule the world. So he takes Carter and Sadies dad and starts building a pyramid. Sadie and Carter will have to learn magic, avoid angry gods, and destroy Set so he can’t use the pyramid to wipe out earth. I like how in this book there headqaurters is in Brooklyn and Percy lives in Manhattan. One of my favorite parts is when Khufu destroyed Carter at basketball. I think this is one of my top picks for books. This is the first book out in the series and I think it’s one of the best.
Book 1: The Hidden Oracle
Percy’s friend, Grover, goes on a mission to find the wild god Pan. But he gets a message from him that he is trapped on an island with a cyclops who has a golden fleece and needs help. Percy asks for a quest to go find him and get a golden fleece from the island.
At first, Magnus thinks he’s just another teenage boy living under the streets of Boston. But soon, his uncle comes in a car and says “we need hurry, they’re coming”. They go to a river and Magnus finds that he’s pulling a sword out of the river. Then, Surt (an evil god) wants the sword. Magnus has an epic duel and ends up falling off a bridge and dieing. Lucky for him, he died in combat and a Valkyrie takes him to a place called Hotel Valhalla, which is a place where you train for doomsday. But Magnus needs his sword before Surt can get it. He needs help from a Valkyrie and some of his homeless friends. Can he do it?
Jason wakes up on the back of a school bus with people he doesn’t know. A girl sitting next to him thinks he’s her boyfriend. Piper, Jason, and Leo soon have to fight these storm spirits, and right after they get picked up by two people who bring them to a place called Camp Half Blood. Right after they get there, they start seeing things, and they soon figure out that the god Hera has stolen Jason’s memory. They have to go on a quest to get Jason’s memory back.
In the first book of the series, Percy Jackson figures out he’s not a normal kid, he’s a demigod. Now he has to go on a quest with Annabeth and Grover to get Zeus’ lightning bolt back. Will he make it back alive?
